Historic city centre
Explore the fascinating historical past of Porto and discover the wonders that a city like this can offer.
We suggest starting with a stroll through the Ribeira area, where you can enjoy a glass of Port wine and have the best views of the Dom Luis I Bridge and its little boats. If you want to delve deeper into the Portuguese history, we recommend not missing the visit to Porto Cathedral and the Clérigos Tower, the tallest tower in Portugal from which you can enjoy the best views of the city.
Other frequently visited places include the Lello Bookstore, Majestic Café, Bolhão Market or São Bento Station.
The Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art
If you want to discover Porto from an artistic and cultural perspective, you cannot miss the visit to the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art. This is one of the most important showcases of modern art in the area. Since its inauguration in 1990s, this place has become an international reference for modern art. The venue consists of 14 galleries, featuring pieces acquired through direct purchase and donations from private collectors.
In addition to the museum, at Quinta Serralves you can explore other interesting places such as the Serralves Park, with its beautiful gardens, or the Treetop Walk Serralves, where you can walk above the treetops.
